Pelican Parts has an extensive collection of beautiful vintage Porsche posters. I adore this kind of style – the typos, the colors and the graphic design going through these lovely babies.
Found over at the ever cool Scott Hansen’s blog ISO50.

Modern Mantra is an astonishing series of typography artwork by Swedish artist Thomas Broomé.
Not normally working as a typographer, Thomas uses type to illustrate the things that he is drawing. These drawings are composed of words that are describing what they are. All pieces are ink on paper.

I’m really digging these pages from Chris Piascik‘s little book ‘Typostruction!‘ The word is a merge of Typography and Destruction.
Chris decided to use a bunch of his drawings for a zine revolving around his hand drawn type. There’s even a flickr group about ‘Typostruction!’ here.

Ouch! How cool is this awesome ‘Splinter’ 3D Typeface by Arslan Shahid?
It’s made from triangular pieces of cut up cardboard. It was created with the notion of war, taken from the perspective of the mood and atmosphere it creates in areas of conflict. See the entire alphabet here.

David Friedman took 20 Helvetica logos, redid them in Arial, and made a quiz out of it. I got 19 correct answers, was nailed by Mattel’s logo. Dammit!
Don’t know how to spot the difference? Click here and get some pointers.
