I’m really loving this illustration series called ‘Le Bestiaire – Apolinaire’. It’s made be Guillaume Tartarat who is based in Montpellier, France.
The illustrations comes to life with the layer effect and the beautiful pattern backgrounds just adds even more goodness.

“This is …” is great series of childrens books which consist of a total of 18 books. The books takes place in some of the worlds biggest cities and a couple of countries. They are illustrated by Miroslav Sasek, born 1916 in Praque, Poland.
The illustrations are aboslutely lovely!

I really like this. Every 3 to 4 months Depthcore releases a new themed ‘Chapter’ where each member contribute their own interpretation of the chapters theme.
The works I have picked out below is all from the chapter ‘Noir’.
Depthcore is an international art collective focused on modern and abstract art, incorporating design, photography, animation and audio. Established by Justin Maller and Kevin Stacey in 2002.

I feel drawn to these beautiful dark and haunted illustrations by Harry Clarke. Just look at the detail work, I love it!
Clarke was an Irish stained glass artist and book illustrator, and these illustrations are made for the stories of the famous american writer and poet Edgar Allan Poe.
