TONK | Taiyo Onorato & Nico Krebs

There’s a great deal of humor going through the photography work of artist duo TONK. Taiyo Onorato and Nico Krebs studied photography at the Zürich University of the Arts. Since 2003, they have worked together as the artist “TONK”.

Kwangho Lee | Cactus Paintings

And so I’m back, well rested and with that hoped for tan. Lovely.

I want to start this new week, by showing you the outstanding cactus paintings by Korean artist Kwangho Lee. I love the colors and the feel of texture that Lee has created by experimenting with various techniques such as scratching, rubbing of the paintbrush, and tapping on the canvas whilst enlarging the subject to its extreme to make the cactus seem like a type of abstraction.
