Ballpoint Pen Drawings by IL Lee
I guess these ballpoint pen drawings by IL Lee is a perfect example of what creative talent really is. Everybody might find themselves doodling with an ordinary ballpoint pen, but these amazing drawings is far from ordinary. This is the kind of “simple” art I would love to hang on my wall.
IL Lee is best known for his pioneering work with ballpoint pen that he began 30 years ago. IL was born in Seoul, Korea. Lives and works in Brooklyn, New York.

I’m not sure where you can actually see IL’s work. But check the website link and maybe you can find out there …

The energy looks immediate in all his drawings/paintings, yet each work must take weeks if not months to finish. Much like many of the impressionist painters wanting to capture a moment .. yet taking weeks to do so. There is a show in New York including a few large works.
